I find what's broken in your site or app (security, accessibility, speed), fix it, and prove it with before-and-after numbers. Fixed prices, and the code stays yours.

How it works

01DesignCheck

Every screen checked before it's built: contrast, tap sizes and the flow people actually take.

02CodeFix & test

Fixed in clean React and TypeScript, with tests and accessibility checks that run on every change.

03ShipProve

Measured again on the live site, so you see the before-and-after numbers. These are this site's own scores.

About

Portrait of Kevin McCalley

Kevin McCalley

I'm a designer and developer based in Portugal, and I've been building for the web since hand-coded HTML and Photoshop 3.0. Today I work AI-first: I wireframe in Penpot, build with Claude Code, and ship on Vercel. That's why things that used to take weeks take days. I also built AccessBridge, an accessibility compliance tool that checks sites against WCAG.

FAQ

Questions people ask

Who do you work with?

Founders, product teams and agencies anywhere in the world. I'm based in Portugal, and my working hours overlap with both Europe and the US.

Do I need to get on a call?

No. Everything works by email and shared links: you get a fixed quote in writing, sign off wireframes on a link, and get a recorded walkthrough at the end. Once you've booked, you can also schedule a 20-minute kickoff call.

Can you fix an app built with Lovable, Bolt, v0 or Cursor?

Usually, yes. Start with the MVP Rescue Diagnostic: within 48 hours you get a written review and a fixed-price plan. If you go ahead within 30 days, the €450 is credited to the fix.

Can you fix my app, or make my app and website feel like one product?

Yes, whoever built it: an AI tool, a freelancer, or an agency that has moved on. Start with the MVP Rescue Diagnostic: within 48 hours you get a written review and a fixed-price plan, and the €450 is credited to the fix. If your app and your website feel like two different products, the plan covers that too: one shared design so they look the same, one source for prices and wording so they say the same thing, and one login so people move from site to app without friction. I work on web apps, including ones people install on their phone. For a native iPhone or Android app, I'll tell you honestly whether I'm the right person.

Which accessibility laws do your audits cover?

Audits test against WCAG 2.2 AA, the standard behind the European Accessibility Act, the ADA in the US and Section 508. You get a plain-language report and a draft accessibility statement (worded as partially conformant, tested on a stated date).

Do I own the code?

Yes. Every project ends with the app deployed to a live link and the code in a repository you own.

How do I get started?

Fill in the short form: a line or two about what you need is plenty. You get a fixed quote in writing within one working day. Prefer email? Write to kevin@designcodeship.com.
